Walking barefoot in the world seems freeing at first. Imagine the joy of stepping into a lush carpet of new grass, or trekking across a sandy beach. But what happens when there is glass, sharp rocks, hot asphalt, abrasive concrete, or biting ants? How do we then loose our physical balance, get distracted from the path, and tossed off our focus and center of gravity? In what ways have the current social, cultural or political climate distracted you from your inner compass and confidence? What practices can you do to develop trust, courage, and resiliency in the presence of conflict and stress?
A paper footprint has been provided for you to write a brief response statement and to tape to the wall or floor. In solidarity of our collective journey, please follow the lines that have been started, and be mindful of observers’ flow in the walkways.
